Life can get busy. I don’t know many people who would disagree with that statement, especially right now. It seems as though life keeps getting busier and busier with each passing year. So, that’s why it’s so important to stop and appreciate special projects that friends make the time to produce — and Matt Lolli’s Zine is a great example of that. Matt was a college buddy and we stay in touch via Facebook. That’s how I found out about his latest side project — a hand-drawn magazine that he created. I was pretty stoked when I got my copy, and of course, it was the cat-themed spread that I liked best. So, props to Matt for taking the time to make something special — I know I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed it.

Of course I like the cat-themed page -- Thor is awesome!

I’m so honored to share some photos from my wonderful friend’s wedding. It was a beautiful, warm October day for Katie and Rob to exchange vows in a beautiful garden overlooking green fields with blue water in the distance…. The entire day couldn’t have been lovelier. While I don’t normally do wedding photography, I couldn’t turn down the offer to be there for my friends. And I am so glad I did. :)

I got to spend yesterday with my niece and her fiance at the beautiful Harkness Park in Waterford. That’s where Greg had proposed to Megan last year so we decided to shoot their engagement pictures there. It was a fun afternoon and felt great to get out there and use my camera! Can’t wait for their wedding this summer! :)

I’ve decided to do some occasional posts about my wonderful clients and today I’m kicking it off with Josie Jolon of Beneath the Gown. Beneath the Gown is a bridal lingerie boutique located in Clinton, Connecticut. Not only is the place charming and sweet, but then you meet Josie, who is quite possibly the most darling person I’ve ever met! And she knows her stuff — that’s for sure. Her boutique is filled with ruffles and lace that would make any girl dream. And, in addition, Josie herself also designs custom lingerie and even wedding gowns — and they are exquisite. Thumbnail Designs was lucky enough to have been able to design her website, so go visit and learn more about this wonderful shop: http://beneaththegown.com.

Not too far from here is a cute little town called Deep River. I’ve met a bunch of really great people from there and can’t wait to share their wonderful artwork — starting today with Brian Sage. Brian’s an impressionistic oil painter and his work really speaks for itself — it’s stunning! Enjoy one of my favorites below, then check out his website!
