I recently purchased this darling new necklace from Blue Dove Studio on Etsy and I just love it! It’s a locket, although I haven’t decided whose picture(s) I am going to put in it yet. But, I thought I should share my beautiful Etsy find. And you should definitely check out ElyIsabel’s shop with all of the other gorgeous handmade jewelry she has for sale. Enjoy your shopping!
There are days when this is exactly what I want to wear!! Something fun and quirky to make people (and myself) smile!! See more of Josh Freeman’s Obey My Brain Creations at his Etsy store.
I first stumbled across this company when I was visiting Block Island last summer — they had a great display in one of the local stores with floor to ceiling tee shirts and their logo large across the floor. It was eye-catching and drew me right in! Shortly after that, I was the proud owner of one of their awesome hats!
Next on the list will be one of these really fun tees — and check this at — through this last weekend they’re donating 50% of all the proceeds to charities helping the victims of Haiti. Help others and get some great goods! Visit their website for more of their great items!
How cool is this — a wine cellar that can fit easily in your floor and can hold up to 1,900 bottles of wine! What an exquisite design! That’s just what Spiral Cellars from the UK has brought us — “the quickest, cheapest and easiest way of building a wine cellar for your house.” Visit their website to learn more.
I’m so excited to share these ties with everyone — they were one of my favorite items that I sold in my gallery. Bethany Shorb hand-screens designs onto ties and the results are eye-catching and beautiful! What a great way to express your own personality, while still fitting in with the dress code. There are way too many designs to show here so check out her Etsy shop!
You have to check out this gorgeous work by Greg Gallegos of Natural Selection Studio! As quoted on his Etsy shop page, “The wood turnings created by Greg Gallegos of Natural Selection Studio are absolutely timeless.” Definitely putting a couple of these on my wish list! Visit their Etsy shop and check them out!

Found these wonderful fiesta-inspired pieces on Etsy.com today! They’re from Clayswan’s shop and the colors just make me smile. She really sums it up in her Etsy profile, “The work is functional and playful, it is meant to be used, enjoyed … basically, make you happy ~ have fun!” Who wouldn’t want to enjoy eating with these?
When I think of statistics and data I instantly cringe with thoughts from my college class on the subject. If only they had taught me how to visually interpret data and stats. Then maybe I would have enjoyed waking up at 7 for my 8am class.
From the Wed Design Ledger, “Data Visualization is a method of presenting information in a graphical form. Good data visualization should appear as if it is a work of art. This intrigues the viewer and draws them in so that they can further investigate the data and info that the graphic represents.”
Stumbled across this artist today and just had to add him to the blog… Check out Cardon Copy, the project of artist Cardon Webb. And here’s what it’s all about, in his own words:
CARDON COPY, TAKES THE VERNACULAR OF SELF-DISTRIBUTED FLIERS AND TEAR-OFFS WE HAVE ALL SEEN IN OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. IT INVOLVES HIJACKING THESE UNCONSIDERED FLIERS AND REDESIGNING THEM, OVER POWERING THEIR MESSAGE WITH A NEW VISUAL LANGUAGE. I THEN REPLACE THE ORIGINAL WITH THE REDESIGN IN ITS AUTHENTIC ENVIRONMENT.
